Mission Statement

The TENDERLOIN FILIPINO-AMERICAN COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION envisions a strong and active community organization which aims to help improve the people's quality of life by participating in community programs addressing the issues of Healthcare for All, Affordable Housing, Healthy Food, Safety and Security, Living Wage Jobs, and other Neighborhood Concerns contributing to the goal of making the neighborhood a better place.


As a community association, we believe in the following principles:

  • We reject racism, scapegoating, and all forms of discrimination.
  • We believe in the power of the people and that organizing our community will help bring long term changes.
  • We believe on bringing positive changes to our community that will benefit all people.
  • We believe that it is the basic human right to have a safe, decent housing that is affordable.
  • We believe that everyone deserves a secure source of food that is healthy and affordable.
  • We believe that our community has a right to live a free and sage life without the threat of violence, and we support the incolvement of our community's people in positive activities that will prevent people from turning to unsafe activities.
  • Our community is skilled and capable and we believe in the right to living wage jobs and accessible job training for all people.
  • We believe that everyone jas a right to raise their family and grow old in a clean, safe and drug-free environment.
